Alberto Navarro is a 28 year old man who lives in the cienaga grande of Santa Marta, located in the colombian north coast. in his early years, he was diagnosed with dystonia – muscular degenerative illness. dystonia completely limits alberto’s movements and dooms him to stay connected to an artificial respirator. his unconditional company is his mom, rosa, who sacrifices her entire life as a love demonstration for the benefit of alberto. they live in a little community built over the water with wood houses. this is where alberto lives with his best friend, giselle, and learns to live bounded to his own body which limits him from fulfilling his greatest dream: to meet the sea, which is located just across the street.
